The Blagdon B50 Hygienic air-operated double diaphragm (AODD) pump is designed for high-capacity sanitary fluid-transfer applications involving viscous, sensitive and demanding process liquids.
With a maximum delivery of up to 500 litres per minute (132 gal/min) and working pressure up to 8.6 bar (125 PSI), the B50 provides dependable high-volume transfer while handling suspended particles up to 10 mm (0.39″).
Constructed from 316L stainless steel, the B50 is suitable for food, beverage, dairy, pharmaceutical, biotech, personal-care and hygienic chemical applications. Hygienic connection options include DIN, RJT and Ferrule, with compatible food-grade elastomer options available for different process requirements.
Not sure whether the B50 is suitable for your hygienic process? ABS Engineering can help review your required flow, product viscosity, temperature, connection type, diaphragm material, solids size and cleaning requirements.

Can the B50 be used for CIP processes?
Yes. The B50 is designed for hygienic applications and can be configured for compatible Clean-in-Place processes.
What is the main difference between the B25 and B50 Hygienic pumps?
The B50 provides significantly higher flow capacity and can handle larger suspended particles, making it suitable for higher-demand sanitary applications.
Can the B50 handle viscous products?
Yes. The pump is designed for viscous and high-specific-gravity products when correctly configured for the process.
Which elastomer materials are available?
Options include EPDM, PTFE, Viton, Santoprene and Buna-N. Material selection should be based on chemical compatibility, process temperature and cleaning requirements.
