The Tensiometer / Load Cell in a hydraulic decoking system is used to monitor the load applied to the drill stem and cutting tool assembly during coke removal in delayed coking units (DCUs). It provides real-time tension and weight feedback, enabling safe, automated control of vertical movement and detecting potential issues such as tool jams, excess load, or free-fall conditions.
