Alfa Laval FrontLine allows a flexible design with plates tailor-made for demanding hygienic applications. The plate pattern and pressing depth ensure gentle, uniform heat transfer for sensitive products. Glue-free, FDA-compliant gaskets are easy to maintain and offer long service life.
The frame supports multi-section configurations and disassembles easily for inspection, cleaning, and service. Interchangeable corner connections and removable plates allow quick modifications when process conditions change.

How it works
The heat transfer area consists of corrugated plates assembled between frame and pressure plates. Gaskets seal alternating channels for counter-current flow and close temperature approach.
FrontLine plate geometries and pressing depths are optimized for hygienic performance and minimized fouling. Distribution areas ensure even flow and avoid stagnant zones.
High turbulence yields excellent heat transfer—balancing turbulence and pressure drop is key; our engineers will tailor your design for maximum performance.
Designed for the highest hygienic demands, FrontLine handles gentle heat transfer for sensitive dairy, food, and beverage processes. Frames are available in stainless steel or silver-coated, and plates in various alloys for challenging media.

Working Principle
Corrugated plates form alternating channels; pack is assembled and compressed by bolts and gaskets direct fluids for counter-current heat exchange.
Frame & Plate Pack
Plates hang on upper bar; guide bar and bearing washers ease handling. Reversible plates ensure parallel flow distribution and simplicity.
