| Overview: | The Flowserve heavy-duty rotary joint is engineered for hydraulic decoking systems in Delayed Coking Units (DCU) within refineries and petrochemical plants. Designed to support drill stem drive assemblies, it transmits high-pressure cutting fluid during coke cutting operations while maintaining sealing integrity and rotational stability under extreme suspended loads. This improves operational efficiency, safety and equipment life in automated and semi-automated decoking systems. |
The Flowserve Pacific® heavy-duty rotary joint is robustly designed to support the suspended loads experienced in coking units. Its function is to transmit cutting fluid from the stationary hose connection to the drill stem and cutting tool. Flowserve is continually upgrading its rotary joint to accommodate higher cutting pressure requirements.

In refinery delayed coking operations, drill stem drive DCU systems face high torque, pressure spikes and contamination risks during coke cutting. A reliable hydraulic decoking rotary joint supports stable fluid transfer and sealing performance, helping reduce the likelihood of gearbox contamination and unplanned failures linked to leakage or process upsets. Built for demanding DCU environments, the Flowserve rotary joint supports continuous rotation and maintains operational control for safer, repeatable coke cutting performance.
